TENOVUS is a fully restored 1948 Hackercraft utility runabout measuring 24 feet in length with an 8 foot beam. She is historically significant because Joseph P. Kennedy Sr., the patriarch of the Kennedy family, commissioned her to be custom built for day cruises off Hyannisport with his family . The Kennedy family had ten members at the time, so he wanted a vessel large enough to accommodate them all, hence the name TENOVUS.
